38. Henry Fischer was born on 15 June 1888 on the family farm in the rural Holland, Hickman, Lancaster County, Nebraska. He was the oldest child of GJH and Diena Fischer and was born on a farm they rented one mile west and one-half mile north of Holland, Lancaster County, Nebraska.
Henry Fischer and Anna Bouma were married on 2 February 1910 in Holland, Hickman, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Anna Bouma, daughter of Tjeerd Bouma and Johanna Princen, was born on 10 May 1890 on the family farm, one mile north of Holland, Hickman, Lancaster County, Nebraska. She died on 27 May 1953 at the age of 63 in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. She was buried on 30 May 1953 in the Pella cemetery, Pella, rural Adams, Lancaster County, Nebraska. They started married life on a rented farm located at 110th street and Princeton road, NE corner and lived there for one year. They then moved to a rented farm one and a half miles south (highway 43 and Firth road, SE corner) of the Pella church. Three of their children, Lawrence, Irene and Harold were born here. Later, they purchased a farm five miles northwest of Adams, and their daughter Carrol was born here. Henry passed away in 1934 while living here. Anna remained on the farm with her four children until they were all married. Their son Harold purchased this farm in 1942. Anna purchased a house in Adams and lived their until her death in 1953. They were members of the Firth Reformed Church, Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska.
