241. Donald James Kroese II was born on 13 March 1951 in Tecumseh, Johnson County, Nebraska. He graduated in 1969 from Springfield - Platteview High School, in Springfield, Sarpy County, Nebraska. He attended Kearney State Teachers College at Kearney, Buffalo County, Nebraska
Donald James Kroese II and Patricia Marie Antoinette Menichetti were married on 23 June 1973 in St Bridgett's Catholic Church, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska. They started married life in Bellevue, Sarpy County, Nebraska where Donald Jr. worked at a meat packing plant. Then they purchased and operated Elm wood Meat Processing in Elm wood, Cass County Nebraska. They sold the Elmwood business and moved with their family to Rock Springs, Sweetwater County, Wyoming in the early 1980's where Donald Jr. worked as a butcher for several years. Donald then applied for the Moffat County Colorado Trapper position with the United States Department of Agriculture at Craig, Moffat County, Colorado. He was hired and the family relocated to Craig, Colorado. His duties as trapper with the Wildlife Services, United States Department of Agriculture consisted of working with the Federal Government and the Sheep Growers Association to control the activity of predators (coyotes, bears and lions) of cattle and sheep in a given area. He has learned to call coyotes vocally. He was pleased to be selected to go to Monomoy Island off Massachusetts to take care of coyotes preying on exotic birds living on the Island.
