104. Ted Kroese was born on 24 August 1930 in rural Adams, Gage County, Nebraska. Ted served in the United States Marine Corp in Japan. He started farming at the early age of 13, after his fathers early death, and has been a farmer his entire life. He served as President of Norris Public Power company for many years and was a strong voice for rural electrification and the electrical needs of farmers.
He is a lifelong member of the Pella Reformed Church, Adams, Lancaster County, Nebraska and served for many years on the Consistory.

Ted Kroese and Thelma Manske were married on 18 November 1956 in Ceresco, Saunders County, Nebraska. They started married life on a farm that they owned one and a half miles north of Adams, Gage County, Nebraska. They later purchased several additional farms in the area and farmed them until retirement. The farming operations were turned over to their son Gary and they are now retired, living in Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Thelma Manske, daughter of Ernest Manske and Clara Dietrick, was born on 28 September 1935 in Ceresco, Saunders County, Nebraska. She graduated from Ceresco High School, in Ceresco, Saunders County, Nebraska.
