95. Glen Louis Kroese was born on 25 August 1930 on the family farm in the Pella community, rural Adams, Lancaster County, Nebraska. He received his elementary education at the Pella country School, in rural Lancaster County, Nebraska. He graduated in 1947 from Panama High School in Panama, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Glen served in the United States Army of occupation in Germany. He was a member of the Pella Reformed Church, near Adams, Lancaster County, Nebraska . He served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Youth sponsor and choir member. He was in the Pella community, rural Adams, Lancaster County, Nebraska. He and his brother Garret established Kroese Brothers Farms and purchased their parents farm along with other land in the area. The partnership operated a grain and hog farm until Garret's early death in 1978, then the partnership was dissolved with each partner getting 320 acres of land. Dry land farming in SE Nebraska suffered from several drought years during the 1950's and 1960's. They were one of the first farmers in the area to install center pivot irrigation systems on their farms.
